NP Exercise Physiology
Improving your Health and Independence

Workcover / RTWSA
Workplace injury rehabilitation should take a holistic approach, supporting your return to work, independence, and everyday life.
Our Exercise Physiology–led programs use job-specific gym-based activities to safely build work capacity and inform return-to-work certification. Rehabilitation is active, individualized, and supported by pain education to promote confidence and long-term self-management.

Chronic Pain
Pain can affect many areas of the body, including the back, joints, and extremities.
When appropriately prescribed, exercise is a highly effective tool for pain management, helping people return to normal daily activities. For those living with chronic pain, gradual and goal-focused exercise can reduce symptoms, improve capacity, and support a return to work, hobbies, and quality of life.

Neurological conditions and brain health
Exercise plays a vital role in supporting brain health and neurological function.
Risk factors such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and obesity can affect both cardiovascular and brain health. Regular, long-term exercise has been shown to improve these risk factors, supporting cognitive health, neurological function, and overall wellbeing.

Veterans programs
Entitled DVA clients may be referred for safe and clinically effective Exercise Physiology treatment by their general practitioner on a valid D904 referral form.
Upon diagnosis and referral of a specific condition, DVA will pay for the clinically necessary treatments.

Diabetes
Exercise plays a major role for clients with diabetes. Exercise doesn’t have to be scary! Exercise can be walking with the family, playing football with your kids or joining a dance class. An exercise physiologist can assist by providing diabetics with an exercise program prescribed to your needs and preferences.
Exercise for both type one and type two diabetics is important to help control blood sugar levels and improve risk factors for other conditions.

Arthritis and Osteoporosis
Exercise for knee pain, back pain and other joint pain has been to be effective and can significantly improve function and pain of arthritis.
Exercise Physiologists can develop programs suited to the individual person to improve joint pain, joint function and assist a return to daily activities and client goals.
