Online assessments (telehealth)

NP Exercise Physiology is now online!

We are excited to announce that we are now offering telehealth services to our clients from the comfort and safety of their own home.

 

For the past month our practitioners have been trialling online services and are glad to say we have had successful client outcomes similar to that of traditional face to face consult.

 

We use the online consulting software COVIU to connect with our clients from their home.

Very easy to use!

How it works:

  1. The practitioner will send the client a hyperlink prior to the assessment via email and text message.
  2. Simply clicking this link will direct the client to the COVIU online platform
  3. The client will enter their name where indicated
  4. Then they will be directed straight into a video consult with their practitioner

Given the simplicity of the software it is extremely user friendly and it appropriate for all ages and literacy levels.

All the client requires to participate is an electronic device with a camera, good internet access and a quite space in the home.

What are the benefits of Telehealth?

  1. Clients are able to engage in their rehabilitation and exercise programs from the safety and comfort of their own home
  2. Practitioners are able to conduct validated outcome measures and monitor clients progress (much like they would in a face to face setting)
  3. Similar successful client outcomes are achievable for chronic disease management and injury rehabilitation
  4. It is highly accessible to clients both in metropolitan and remote areas

Exercise Physiology Telehealth services are supported by most government and private funding services including:

  • Medicare
  • RTWSA
  • DVA
  • NDIS
  • Many Private health insurances
